When the gifts of bread and wine are processed to the altar at any mass, anyone can offer, in spirit, their own intentions to the altar adding their own personal offering to that of Jesus Christ.
An ancient tradition of the Church, however, is that the priest may also read formal intentions aloud; offering up the person(s), living or deceased, for whom the priest and assembly specifically pray.
In keeping with the instructions of the Archdiocese, at St Mark we allow only one formal intention per mass*.
Intentions may be requested by calling the Parish Office 310-821-5058. or filling out this online form. You will be notified asap if your request could be granted.
The recommended offering for these mass intentions is $15
*Note: There are 2 masses where multiple intentions may be offered, but only with the consent of those offering them to share the Mass. These are the Friday daily mass at 8:30am in English, and the Sunday 12pm mass in Spanish.
We also can accept multiple intentions for the novenas of All Souls, Mother's Day & Father's Day
